- *HSEPP coordinating team member wanted!*

As you may already know the Human Sciences Encounters in Phnom Penh network was born in October 2008 with 3 members, and it has now reached 721 members ! The coordinating team needs new people, Léo and Gabriel are no longer based in Cambodia, Emiko will move soon, Pascale is now based in Lao PDR and the current HSEPP coordinator, Sapho is being, who is based at the Royal University of Fine Arts , http://www.rufa.edu.kh/ is being very busy with the Manusastra project https://sites.google.com/site/manusastraum/home/le-deroulement-du-projet-manusastra-une-formation-internationale, that she has to coordinate as well.

We welcome new people joining us, willing to share a little bit of their time, (one and a half day a month is more than enough), new ideas and energies to pursue the HSEPP activities. Just join us and please do not hesitate to share any suggestion you may have with us!

*NEWS*

-*IRD’s support to the HSEPP network

Thanks to a grant which was kindly allocated by the French Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, the HSEPP are now equipped with new laptop, voice recorder, video camera and LCD projector. Thanks to this funding, we will also soon be able to increase the quality of our scientific monitoring and translate some of our website’s sections into Khmer.

-* Université des Moussons – Manusastra project

As part as the Manusastra project, the second edition of the Université des Moussons will start on 3rd July 2013 and will take place for 3 months at the Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh. The Université des Moussons, which is a Human Sciences Summer University, welcomes Lao and Cambodian students and professors who are willing to improve their knowledge in the fields of History, Ethnology, Linguistics and Research methodology. This year’s Université des Moussons will include two levels of studies: level 1 (students who started to attend the Summer University in 2012) and level 2 (newly selected students).
